Midnight was the time. KU CLL lab was the location. When all the creatures living were in their dreams, some handful of avid programmers was still hitting their keyboards in order to create something worthwhile. Something cool they could be proud of! I entered the site for some inspiration and yes, my decision was absolutely correct. I was in KU IT meet 2014 hackathon, the showcase of endless passion and commitment!
First day of IT meet 2014 was about to end with hopes and anticipation. From the official inauguration, there was no looking back. Started with lighting the digital lamp, an awesome journey was about to begin.
Developers’ meets were motivating. Experts on python, PHP and android were sharing their experiences and expertise. Even wrote a piece of codes! 😉 Stalls were filled with creative and innovative stuffs. Surfed whole day!
Later attended the career counseling! Two speakers from different background presented two different perspectives on career success. What they had in common was, urge for creativity and passion. Only when a person is fully dedicated towards the work he does, then can only he achieve success in his career, was the thread that bound them together.
As one famous person said:-
“Answer a simple question looking your own self in the mirror: Were you happy the every moment you lived?”
The question was hovering my head every time I was staring the fountain outside the window. All I was remembering was the packed staircases. Though empty at that moment, the claps and cheers were still echoing though the air. My mind was drifted back to that evening, the musical evening –“Acoustic Evening”. It was the icing on the cake of the day. Perfect congregation of music and technology. In other words, it was showcase how combination of mind and heart can create that impact which has the everlasting potential.
The darkness was eluded by the flashlight. So was the melancholy of heart fading by the deepness of sentiments. The emotion evoking performances were giving that calmness and composure that anything in the world could provide. With the sun setting over the horizon, birds flying to their shelter, the overall aura and freshness were exhilarating! It was totally resonating the melody and rhythm of music to create that unfathomable psychological effect.
Well, reminiscing back the event was successful . Personally, #Itmeet2014 gave birth to writer within me 😉 Therefore, if anyone asks me the aforementioned question, I have an answer to it. YES, I enjoyed the moment. I lived it. I enjoyed IT meet 2014! 😀
This much for this year. See you back on 2015!
Keep calm and wait for ITmeet2015, we’ll be back online then…
